And here, we LOVE excellence. We LIVE for excellence!
I’m actually surprised I haven’t already uploaded today’s commercial block. I went through all my uploaded videos in a search, and surprisingly, this one, while I’ve used multiple commercials in past Throwback Thursday and Flashback Fridays, hasn’t been uploaded in full.
Can you just feel the shock over here?!
Today’s commercial block was taped by an ex-boyfriend’s mother (the one who randomly changed channels back in 1995) on September 13, 1986 (date confirmed). The commercials are from KYW-3 (at the time Philadelphia’s NBC station, now CBS as of 1995) during a rerun of Saturday Night Live from the 1985-1986 season that was hosted by Dudley Moore. This commercial features some local goodies, but also plenty of commercials you don’t normally see in the middle of the night these days.
Behold, within this block…
BACON! All the bacon! And deals! We love deals as much as we love bacon!
Something else that makes a point of excellence!
,..and something that corrects your not-so-excellence.
This Giatno ad. The intern still loves her job!
Wrestling Joe Piscopo for Miller Lite!
How driving 76 West actually does feel…
Deodorant that ensures Mr. Right exists.
And Bob Vila!
What? He’s there!
We’ve got promos, products, services, Bob Hope, and Estelle Getty. I can’t think of a better way to usher in the weekend. I mean, bacon helps too.
Have a fantastic Flashback Friday, and a great weekend!
