#MusicMonday – February 19, 2018

It’s Music Monday, we’re standing in a circle, while a camera moves among us.  Weapons out and readied, we’re waiting for the prompt…

And then my alarm went off and I was like, “well, darn.”

Not really, but it is a cool idea of a dream.

So…Happy Monday!

It’s Presidents Day Observed, so for schools and the government, it is a day off.  It is for me!

Last week, it was Valentine’s week and I wrote about a beloved Kenny Loggins song.

Four days later, I nabbed three third row tickets to see him live in May 2018.

Who says dreams don’t come true?

This past Saturday, I was able to parlay one of my other loves – The Avengers – into seeing Marvel Universe Live, a live stunt stage show at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, thanks to my DC-loving (we’ll forgive him, since he likes Marvel too) boyfriend*.

It was all pyrotechnics, platforms, fighting, music, backflips, and stunts, and it was awesome.

And I was suited up to be Hawkeye, if they needed me.

They didn’t. 😦

Oh, and Iron Man nodded his head at me, Star Lord winked at me, and I threw my panties.

It was awesome.

Guess which part did not happen.

Enough of that, more of the reason you’re actually here…the music!

In the spirit of seeing Marvel Universe Live over the weekend, how about a little something from the 2012 feature film Marvel’s The Avengers?  This Alan Silvestri-composed (he of the Back to the Future trilogy compositions) score is liking to put you in a world-saving mood.

Of course this played over the closing credits, so it has street cred of being an awesome superhero film score.

So, if you were reading carefully earlier, you probably saw an asterisk after boyfriend:

That’s because after we got home from the show, he asked me to be his wife!

I made alot of cracks in this post (it’s my inner Tony Stark), but I’m not joking.  As of about 6 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018, I am the future Mrs. Preston! 🙂

Looks like this Avenger has found her future Mister! 🙂
