Let Allison Be An #SNLHost

I saw this on Facebook yesterday:

I couldn’t possibly leave this alone.

So I’m sure everyone is submitting the names of celebrities they’d love to see host.

May I propose a suggestion?

Let me host.

That’s right – let me host Saturday Night Live.

Let me stand on the stage, let me deliver a monologue, let me act in a few sketches.  Let me introduce musical guests.  Let me experience the excitement of a live show from the throws of a live show.

I don’t have a show or movie to promote, nor do I have a book out that you should read.  I’m a 33-year-old working as an Administrative Professional, who maintains a blog of this and that.  I’m smart, I’m funny (at least, I think I’m funny), and I’m cute.

No seriously, how could you not love this face?

Yes, these are selfies.  This is the face you could potentially see on the bumpers if I hosted SNL.

Ok, not this face exactly, but you get my drift.

An ordinary person hosted SNL one time.  An adorable woman named Miskel Spillman hosted the December 17, 1977 episode (season 3).  She was a grandmother, not anyone famous.  And she won the first and only “Anyone Can Host” contest.  She told the audience “I’m Miskel Spillman.  I’m old.”  She got the biggest audience reaction, hence, she got to host.

I can do it.  I’d love to do it.  It’s the next best thing to actually being in the cast.  I’m not sure if I’d want to make that commitment, but I can host.

So, what do you think?  How about letting this ordinary chick host?

Come on, let’s make #LetAllisonHostSNL a trending topic!

Heck, if three of you do this, I’d be fine.

I’m also fine with Chris Hemsworth and Jason Bateman hosting again.  Just sayin’.
