In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Smell You Later.”
The scent that takes me back is the smell of a particular fabric softener that my grandma used called Final Touch. The light floral scent always reminds me of my maternal grandparents’ house. The whole house smelled like this particular fabric softener. To this day, any dryer sheet (can be any brand) reminds me of that scent. Neither grandparent is with us anymore, but the scent makes me feel like they are never too far away.
