In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Ornate.”
I went to the Art of the Brick exhibition at the Franklin Institute (Philadelphia, PA) in April 2015, which was a collection of original creations and re-created artwork, made with Lego bricks and designed by Nathan Sawaya. All of the pieces were incredibly detailed, so to include just one is impossible.
I’m not an art lover by any means, but my favorite painting is Edvard Munch’s “The Scream,” and to see it re-imagined using so many Legos is visually stunning. And as an added touch, Sawaya made the painting even more dimensional by bringing our screaming friend out from the painting.
