Put A Little #ThrowbackThursday In Your <3

…until Flashback Friday, of course.

Back by popular viewing (my gift to you!), I’ve compiled commercial blocks for the next two week’s worth of Throwback Thursday and Flashback Friday entertainment.  We’re focusing on 2003 and 2002 for our commercial blocks, because apparently I did alot of recording around Christmastime both years.

First up for your Throwback Thursday, a set of commercials taped on December 11, 2003 during an episode of ER, as seen on WNBC 4 New York.  Some (ok, most) commercials are Christmasy, but some are for reality shows that clogged primetime schedules in the early 2000s.  This block has the distinction of having commercials I haven’t featured any other time on this blog.  Now isn’t that a treat?

Featured in today’s block of commercials…

“I’VE GOT THE POWERRRRRRRR – er, I GOT THE LAST HOKEY POKEY ELMOOOOOOOO!”

Oh and speaking of treats, there was a time where concerned fans thought Tom Hanks was the voice of Geoffrey Giraffe.  It was actually his brother, Jim, who not only looks like his famous brother, but sounds like him too!

I’m sure there’s a joke in there somewhere.

Exterior illumination…the indoor version!

I have never been comfortable in this position, and yet, this commercial advertises comfortable undershirts and underwear.

We’ve got movie previews, promos for upcoming programs, jewelry, Christmas, food, and 2003 technology.  It’s AWESOME, and yours to see…when you click play below!

Tomorrow, we have more commercials, as we move back a year to 2002 and wrap up your week!

The countdown to Christmas marches on – 13 days and counting!

Have a great Throwback Thursday!
