Yea Davis Family! They made Friday happen!
The Davis Family is back, apparently having gotten through their “birds and the bees” discussion over a dinner made with the breadcrumbs of a certain foodstuff brand, and this time their neighbors are involved in the promotion of said brand.
The family apparently, by some means, obtained a truckload of 4C Parmesan cheese, but in exchange for it, they had to agree to appear in a commercial with their neighbors.
Whose faces we also don’t see.
And what unfolds can only be described as the time the Davis Family lived in the same neighborhood as Fran Drescher’s voice.

4C Foods manufactures grated cheese (Parmesan, Romano, and Parmesan/Romano), ice tea and drink mixes (lemon, peach, green, and raspberry iced tea, decaffeinated iced tea, lemonade, fruit punch, and half and half lemonade/iced tea), lite iced tea, iced tea and drink mix sticks (or stix), liquid water enhancers, energy stix, iced tea and drink mix pitcher packets, and of course, breadcrumbs (seasoned, plain, gluten free, panko, gluten free panko, panko seasoned, panko plain, whole wheat, and salt free)!
4C Foods Corp. began as a small family grocery store and cheese business in Brooklyn, NY in 1935. Their website offers their products for sale, as well as recipes you can make with their products, but sadly, no mention of the Davis Family.
So, who are these people, aside from the fact that they appeared in commercials beginning in the mid-1980s, pretty much up through the late 1990s (I don’t recall seeing the family after that in any of my commercials). I guess they’re just a forgotten advertising ploy of the time.
Aside from yesterday, this isn’t the first time the Davis Family has made it to Throwback/Flashback – they appeared in Throwback Thursday on January 26, 2017. That was the time Mrs. Davis snuck it into a restaurant…in her purse. Coincidentally, that commercial was part of a larger block of commercials I taped on February 21, 1998, 21 years ago yesterday!

Do you remember the Davis Family? Were they in commercials after the 90s ended? Who were they, anyway? Like mysteries? This one probably will remain such.
Seriously, I can’t find anything about these commercials, aside from MORE commercials. This Davis Family, they really kept busy! Of course, that brings me to a related note…
