A final wrap-up of the holiday season would not be complete without a Christmas reading. I actually read this last week, but wanted to wrap up my holiday writings this week by reviewing this story. It is a retread for me, since I read it 20 years ago, but in looking for a short story that I liked and wanted to look at again, this was a nice revisit.
There is something made like it (another specific day), but we like Throwback Thursday too! Right?
Merry Christmas, friends, readers, and watchers!
From this one-woman show at Allison’s Written words, to all of you, here’s wishing you a very Happy, Healthy, Blessed, Joyous, and above all, Merry Christmas!
All the best to you as we move into the final days of 2018, but for today, enjoy the moment, and remember the reason for the day.
Have a wonderful day!

I needed a quick short story with a Christmas theme to fill some downtime, and I recalled this short story from an American Literature class assignment. It is as relevant now as it was in 1906, and shows the lengths people go to prove their love, even if it means sacrifice.
Well, we’re almost there!
Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!
Four more days till Christmas! Are you ready yet?
