Hmmm, that not-so-subtle advertisement might steer me in the right direction!

Mmmm, strawberries!

They like it, and when you click play, perhaps you will too!

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of Pop Tarts flavors there are, but how in 1987, there was strawberry, and seemingly nothing else. In reality, the toaster pastries came in four flavors when it was introduced in 1964: strawberry, blueberry, brown sugar cinnamon, and apple currant. There wasn’t Smores, Hot Fudge Sundae, and every brand of soda flavor in existence. When I first started eating Pop Tarts in the mid 1990s, my mom only bought strawberry. I’m not going to tell you that was my favorite one. It still isn’t. But that pastry shell more than made up for it!

But in the 1980s, we survived on only having four flavors, because, let’s face it…

Delicious!

Tomorrow, we continue our salute to Kellogg’s breakfast foods that still exist with another breakfast stuff from their output. This one has been around even longer than Pop Tarts, and yes, it was something else I ate.

Have a great Throwback Thursday!
