In response to this Daily Post writing prompt (As originally posted on May 2, 2015):
When was the last time you did something completely new and out of your element? How was it? Will you do it again?
The last time I did something new and out of my element, it became a yearly tradition for me. 🙂
I attended my first science fiction convention for the television franchise Stargate in August 2012, flying to Chicago on a solo vacation. Not having ever experienced this type of setting before, I wasn’t really sure what to expect, and what I got was beyond my wildest expectations. I’ve made amazing friends, met actors, and have had as much fun as you can possibly cram into four days (I always go a day early to spend time with my friends before everything starts).
As far as will I do it again…I’ve been back three more times. And I’m going again (for the fifth and final time) in September 2015.
