Happy Birthday, Dr. Suess!

Here on Allison’s Written Words, we love celebrating a birthday, even when it isn’t our own!

And this is one of those truly wonderful birthdays we can all appreciate!

A very happy 113th birthday to the man who has gotten generations of kids reading (and loving it!).

Thank you, Theodor Suess “Dr. Seuss” Geisel for your contributions to children’s literature, and for instilling that love of reading in me that I’ve never been able to rid myself of.  That early love of reading turned into a passion for writing and a love of the written word.  And to think, for me it all started with a cat in a tall and most unusual red and white-striped hat.

Gah, he got me to rhyme!!!!!!
