Alone On My Own Mountain

Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Solitude

img_4066img_4060

For me, solitude is best represented by some of the photos I took in the mountains of Southern California.  I was visiting my boyfriend’s hometown, Hemet (Riverside County), in December 2016 for Christmas.  I had never been to California, and my perception of that part of the state was blown by the sheer amount of mountains, which I believed were something more common of Central and Northern California.

Being alone gives me a chance to regroup, clear my head, focus, and get in touch with my writing.  When I have no distractions, my laptop or tablet, and my earbuds, I can separate myself from the world and focus on my various blog projects.  While I like company, I appreciate the times I can just be by myself, alone on my own mountain.
