What’s the one guilty pleasure you have that’s so good, you no longer feel guilty about it?
Now here’s a question I can love!
At one time, I considered alot of my interests to be of the “guilty pleasure” type, but more recently, it has been my love of Bad Movies. Not just bad as in “all special effects and no plot” or “bad acting” or “what the hell?” bad, but Mystery Science Theater 3000 bad. Coincidentally, I’ve been a MSTie (for the uniformed, this is the MST3K fan nickname) since 1997. I watch the show frequently (and have several times with one of my friends, also a fan). These are movies of the unwatchable without a commentary track bad – bad to non-existent special effects, or unnecessary special effects, bad acting, bad dialogue, and no plot wonders. Movies that were made under questionable circumstances are a huge pick-me-up. Sometimes, I don’t want to think when I’m watching a movie, and this guilty pleasure is the best way to achieve just that!
