#FlashbackFriday – Mrs. Keaton Uses Clairol Condition…Shouldn’t You?

Meredith Baxter Birney (yes, before she dropped the “Birney”) doesn’t hide her feelings, and neither should you.

Perfect hair is a rarity – you may interpret someone else’s hair as perfection, but they’ll tell you all about the arduous process that took them from just washed to freakin’ fabulous, including those five minutes where they screamed at the hairdryer and telling it “you have one job!” and…

Oh.

I’m sorry, what were we talking about?

Ah yes, hair care.

And who better to tell us all about hair care secrets (or rather, not hold back on hair care secrets) than beloved television mom/gorgeous hair expert Meredith Baxter Birney?  And in this 1987 commercial, she’s all to happy to not hold back on how she feels…about perfect hair.

She expresses herself through her hair, either by wearing it up, or…

…long and natural.

But she only wants it to look healthy, so she only uses Clairol Condition.

Protein-enriched shampoos and conditioners, alcohol-free mousse, and even hairspray! Because condition hair says alot about someone.

Yep, don’t hold back.

Anything.

And if you’d like to see her throw back her hair in this ad, feel free to click play.

Come on, show ’em what you’re really made of!

Oh, and don’t use those OTHER products.  They just don’t do the job.

So, I can’t find any information on Clairol Condition, including how long it was on the market, but it isn’t listed among Clairol’s current product line, so it’s obviously discontinued.  But Meredith Baxter Birney used it, so why wouldn’t you have?

I wonder what she uses now…?

And there you have it, your three cheers for the weekend!  TGIF, and thanks for visiting!

I’ll leave you with this parting mantra for today.

Yes.  Just yes.
